We buy and use the Red Yao's Longsheng rice and a complex process/ritual they have developed over hundreds of years to ferment and prepare the rice for their hair. The villagers use only the ritual rice water on their hair, but for the average consumer, rice water on its own leaves an undesirable smell on the hair. So, we take their rice and prepare it in the same Red Yao ritual, which takes 7-10 days to prepare, then put this Longsheng rice water into a natural format most customers would be comfortable using regularly i.e. our natural shampoo and conditioner bars.
